Class Descriptions:

Level 1/2 - This is a multi-level class focused on developing synchronization of breath and movement to build strength, flexibility and balance in your yoga practice with refined alignment.  Detailed instructions will be given and modifications and the use of props will be shown to ensure postures are practiced safely and effectively so that you can go to your own depth in the  postures.

Level 2 - Expand your strength and flexibility with this class.  It is recommended that you have at least one year of yoga experience or the teacher's permission.

Friday Night Flow - Level 2 - The teacher practices along with the students in this yoga flow class. 

Yoga Foundations/Chair Yoga - We will be exploring basic yoga poses in this class with an emphasis on proper alignment and using chairs to enhance some of these positions. This is an all levels class which is also suitable for Beginners. 

Foundation Yoga - Learn how to do the foundation standing and seated poses  of a yoga practice with healthy alignment.  In this class you can expect to improve your overall fitness level by gaining strength, increasing your flexibility and balance capability and improving your cardiovascular fitness.  See how yoga works its magic! 

Chair Yoga - Chair Yoga is a unique yoga style that adapts yoga positions and poses through the creative use of a chair. The chair replaces the yoga mat and becomes an extension of the body. Chair Yoga is perfect for anyone who wants to experience yoga but has difficulty getting down to the floor to explore traditional yoga poses. You will be guided through a series of modified yoga poses designed to move you in all directions and keep energy flowing through your whole body, regardless of your physical limitations,  promoting greater strength and flexibility.   The classes will include all the elements of a conventional yoga class including breath awareness, warm ups and modified yoga poses that can be as challenging as you want to make them. We will also do some standing poses using a chair and the wall so the classes are not suitable for someone using a wheelchair.  

This Chair Yoga class is suitable for students who are new to yoga, students who have physical limitations,  those recovering from injury or illness and for students who want to have a less rigorous practice. No previous yoga experience is required. 

We are accepting a maximum of 8 in each class for this series.  There is a waiting list available if the session is full and more sessions will be offered as the need arises.
