Upcoming Workshops:

Engaging Your Practice:  A Six Week Talk Series

Maybe you've been telling yourself, year after year, that this is the year you're going to get serious about spiritual practice; but come December you discover that you've practiced a little, indulged a lot, procrastinated in the midst of "busyness" and have wound up with only a mediocre result. It takes discipline to stay focused when - in the course of committed practice - the roots of habit, mind and emotion are laid bare. That's what waking to ordinary life is about. So how do we cultivate the stamina to see our spiritual practice through to its end?

THE FACILITATOR:   This talk series will be informed by the facilitator’s 25 years of marriage to Western Baul teacher, Lalitha Thomas, as well as his discipleship under Lalitha's master, Lee Lozowick, and the lineage of Yogi Ramsuratkumar and Swami Papa Ramdas.

WHAT:   The series is intended to provide a forum for practitioners of any genuine path even while its focus will be the teachings of the Western Baul Tradition as presented by Lalitha in her latest book Waking to Ordinary Life.

WHEN:   This is a six week course which will take place every Wednesday evening from 7 until 8:30 p.m., beginning February 1st and concluding March 7th, 2012 and we ask that participants commit to attending as many weeks as possible in order to maintain the synergy of the group.

WHERE:   Mission Yoga, 753 Turner Road, Kelowna

COST:   By donation with suggested minimum donation for entire 6 week series of $50.00 ($10.00 to attend the first session if you would prefer to investigate a bit before committing).

STUDY MATERIAL:   Copies of Waking to Ordinary Life will be available at the talk space, or if you would like to get a copy early you can either purchase the book directly from the author via the contact information on the attached flier, or through Amazon.ca and retail booksellers everywhere.

CONTACT:  To register or for more information, please contact either the facilitator, Jim Capellini @ jimcapellini@hotmail.com  or @ 250 - 547 - 2077 or the host, Pauline Livingston @ missionyogastudio@gmail.com  or @ 778 – 214 – 9642.
